I remembered during the first years that hubby and I are living together, we were already planning of what business we would start up. My in-laws are very much into the entrepreneurship world. When I met their son they have a few stalls here at the Pasay Public Market. Some stalls sold fruits, others are shoes and slippers and anything in season starting from Valentines Day until the Christmas Season. 🙂
I am thankful to them for teaching me the basics in handling a business. They would give us a small capital to run our own stall during the peak seasons like All Souls Day, Christmas and New Year! It was quite a change a change in lifestyle so I say you have to hands-on 24/7. As a couple we have to take turns in manning the store and taking care of our daughter.
Running your own business is never easy there will be times that you lose some just because of different factors. With that we tend to lose hope and stop na lang before we even lose more. Now, after years of doing trial and error with different businesses, I came to a conclusion that here in our country one of the best business to put up is — FOOD!
Why? Because Pinoys are food lovers! We enjoy munching and eating atleast 4-5 times a day, breakfast, AM snack, lunch, PM snack and dinner. Pinoys are also in the look-out for new types of food, may it be Korean, Japanese or Mexican foods. In today’s generation, there are a lot of food parks emerging almost in every city in the Metro. An advantage for food biz owners to be known and be discovered because believe me or not Pinoys are “gaya-gaya” or just plain “food adventurers”. They tend to be curious to try out new food hubs when they saw their friends trying it out. 🙂
